The beauty of an autumn leaf lies not only in the beauty of it’s color, but also in the “flaws” that make it an individual.
Lets remember that our “flaws” make us unique and beautiful as well.
Because lets face it, the multidimensional leaves hold our attention longer.

Dear dog,
I know you have spent your life from 8 weeks of age on with a high quality, fancy lens, high speed shutter camera in your face.
How about an example:

So when I’m trying to take a picture of you with a low pixel, built in lens, takes forever, cell phone camera can you please keep still long enough for the picture?

Maybe we will have to try sedatives or something… Can dogs have ADD? How about ADHD?
OK, Thanks!

I love the details in old barns. (I used picnik’s 1960′s filter on these pictures)

Some pictures from when I was in Virginia for the Hubby’s Massanutten Mountain Trails 100 miler. My camera hasn’t been overly happy lately.

Photography fascinates me. Not just the artsy, the perfect, the wonderful. I love snapshots, family photographs, accidental button clicks.
I think vacation photography is very special When you start to think of all the people who have posed in the same spot as you. Taking the same tacky tourist photos as you are taking that very moment. Capturing a memory of something you witnessed. Saying, ‘hey, I was there’.
Well recently my father scanned a whole slew of pictures my grandmother had collected over the years. There is no information about what the pictures contains but we can guess.
The following picture was taken at Hopewell Cape in New Brunswick. I’m not sure when. I think it was pre-Miriam for sure. I’m not even sure who is in the picture.

How do I know it was taken at Hopewell Cape? I took this picture when I visited the place in 2008.

And guess who’s family posed under the same flowerpot formation?

I wonder if my dad was in that family snapshot and if he was, I wonder if he remembers that he had posed under that same arch probably 30 years earlier.

Manchester has this pretty park at the top of Bridge Street called Derryfield park. We were there playing Frisbee earlier this week. I thought the view was so pretty from the top of the hill that I had to take some low light pictures.
The mountains in the distance are called the Unconoonucs.

My in-laws are part of a cheese of the month club. This is cheese with bright green veins. Tasted like normal cheese though.

I love living within an hour of the ocean.

I love being able to bring Cooper there at the end of a full day.

I love getting to the beach at sunset.

I love getting to the beach at low tide.

I love the endless photographic possibilities, like the reflection of the leftover water at low tide and the colors of sunset.

Every year I try to start a photo 365 project. I usually quit relatively early on. But this year I’ve set up a separate blog for it so hopefully I’ll stick with it.
So please visit my Photo 365 project at http://365.blondepoodle.com.

The Photo 365 project is a glimpse of my life. It shows little and big things going on. So when the project is done there is a nice cross section of your life. And hopefully a little about photography has been learned as well.
PhotoJojo has a tutorial on Photo 365. It doesn’t have to start on January 1st either. I just found it easier that way.

Sometimes I take pictures of myself. I do this because I’m usually the one with the camera. I also do this because I think I can control how I look on the picture. So generally I try to look pretty, like this picture.

But more often I end up with pictures like this.

I end up with a creepy chipmunk face. I don’t really know how to prevent this.
Do you like to take pictures of yourself? What’s your favorite picture of yourself?
